What advice would you give Gov. Bob McDonnell as he takes office?

    Open all the rest stops? Don't privatize the liquor stores? Let me crash at the Governor's Mansion some weekend? What advice would you give Gov. Bob McDonnell now that he's good and inaugurated?

    * Privatise ABC stores and rest stops.
    * Keep social issues in your pocket.
    * Focus on economic recovery.
    * Review budget closely - look to abolish "nice to have but not essential" agencies, Boards, Commissions, and programs,e.g., rest stops.
    * Keep after the shift of the budget cycle so that the incoming Governor would be dealing with the second year of the state budget and have a full year to formulate his/her own spending plan.
    * Underestimate revenues.
    * Review tax loopholes and close any which are not achieving intended purposes
